Art in times of corona: Exhibit at the Museum Bergedorf

Museum Bergedorf und die Vierlande. 01.07.2020 - 10.10.2020.

In 1996, eight artists working predominantly individually, nationally and internationally, joined forces to create a multifaceted group of artists. The individual artistic positions span a wide range of thematic issues, which always keeps an eye on the socio-political context. Man in relation to his urban as well as non-urban (rural) environment, his internal conflicts in social involvement or the gender discussion are central aspects in the different artistic topics. The group name TSETSE, named after the Tsetsefliege, is thus a program. The viewer should be infected by the different works and points of view of the artists. The exhibition activities of the group are to be understood as a temporary source of inspiration, as a mutual, lively exchange between viewer and artist, as well as the artists among themselves.

The exhibition in the Bergedorf Castle was developed especially for this special place and involves the citizens of Bergedorf in an intensive exchange between artists, visitors, art and art events.
